Cebu has a proud history not only in the field of trade and industry but also in other fields of endeavor. We have produced great men and women who not only made a mark in the local scene but also in our national and international stage. One such Cebuano we can all be proud of is no other than the one we consider as our national treasure- Madame Ingrid Sala-Santamaria. A renowned pianist acknowledged not only in the Philippines but worldwide. After more than five decades of performing as an accomplished classical concert pianist she has definitely made a contribution in the field of music. Hard to match until today. She brought so much pride and honor to Cebu and to the rest of the nation all these years.
It is for this reason that we come to you inviting you to be a part of the forthcoming “Ingrid: GRAND FINALE Concert” to celebrate the life and music of Madame Ingrid which is also timed for the Book Launching of “CYSO- Cebu Youth Symphony Orchestra” and “Peace Philharmonic Philippines”- the brainchild of Madame Ingrid which produced men and women of music who will continue her legacy of music to the next generation.
The Farewell Concert will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino Lahug, 7:30 pm on February 25, 2017 (Saturday). To accompany her in this concert are the original members of the Cebu Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) and the Peace Philharmonic Philippines (PPP) who will also have their “reunion” to pay tribute to this grand lady of classical music.
